Deceived by a Pathological Liar

Few things are worse than consistently being lied to, especially at the hands of someone who is supposed to love you; ESPECIALLY when that person is your FIRST love, you lost your virginity to this person.... and they just toyed with your heart the whole time. Pathological liars are ruthless and unrelenting in their deliverance of pain; I barely made it out, for that I should be thankful. They are very charming at first, and their lies are cunning. As it turns out, the one I had the misfortune roped me into thinking she wanted to marry me, that she was a virgin before me, that she had worked as a teacher, that she was best friends with a fashion designer from the city, and more. These are just a few of the countless lies I was told. In fact, virtually everything I was told by her turned out to be an exaggeration, a lie, or some kind of deception.

To make matters worse, she brought me to court several times after the relationship ended, simply for trying to find out the truth. Only after an exhausting crusade of contacting people who knew her and my jaw dropping at what I was told did I find out the truth. In many ways, I wish I did not even know, but nevertheless, now I do. Fortunately, I made it out with my life, as I am sure some do not.

Depend not on others dear friends, seek out your connection to the Divine on your own

Don't look to others to be your savior dear friends, for they will only disappoint. For, o dear friends, are not others a reflection of your own inner image? Therefore, it is best to detach yourself from fleeting pleasures of the illusory material world, and seek the truth by freedom of desire. Know not that the clinging to others, youth, materialism, and all other fleeting passing images of the illusory material world that surrounds thee will only lead to pain and suffering? Trust only the deep aspects of self, and free yourself from the confines of your own views.

Times of uncertainty: Can they help you find new clarity?

In times as uncertain as these, it is common for many to question what will happen. I believe that such times can help one to appreciate what they do have, specifically the people in their lives who they care about. In other words, tough times bring people together. Therefore, I believe it is good to always try to find value in anything we can. I would love to hear what other people have to say about this.

Meditation and its Cures

Meditation cures mental woes; yes, you heard it correctly. Not only mental woes, but physical woes as well. Quieting the mind is such a necessary step in our ridiculously busy society.

Challenges can make one unstoppable

To face what seems to be insurmountable challenges, to feel as though your world fell apart, to face what seems to be certain doom, and come out of it stronger than ever; that is what perseverence is.

Only by letting go completely, only by losing oneself, does one find self....

September 16

It seems as though on the one hand I have learned a tremendous amount about the nature of energy, of reality.... but the beliefs I hold are difficult to be accepting of. I continue to make judgements on myself. I know that every time I make a judgement that something I did was "good", or "bad", I am continuing to subscribe to not be accepting of my beliefs. I continue to try.
